The family Experience
My goal as your family photographer is to capture the moments that seem to pass us by so quickly. I know you have a busy family and as life goes on it's hard to recall the way your child's hand felt on your face or the twinkle they had in their eye as you say "I love you". Even though we promise to never forget, memories fade unless we have the reminders pictures provide. It is photographs and only photographs that transport us in time.
I photograph kids and families in familiar places because that’s where their hearts are happy. This might be in your home, at a favourite natural space, by the lake or even in my private and totally beautiful backyard studio.
I am child led. This means I will take my cues for your little one. Do we need to be calm and quiet or loud and silly?

1. Say Hello
Ok, so your session is all booked, the location is selected. Now you ask, "What do we wear?" Selecting clothing can be challenging for sure. I always say, Start with Mom. Make yourself feel beautiful. After this you can select pieces for your family that compliment your outfit choice.
To make things a little more simple, I have a few client dresses that can be selected. I am always here to bounce wardrobe ideas off of.
Don't forget the shoes!
This part is simple. All you have to do is arrive at our location, dressed all pretty and with fed children (a little snack is a great idea to bring too, mini marsh mellows are an amazing choice!) Fed children (and parents) are always the happiest and make for the best images.
During your session, I will guide you and prompt you as you snuggle and play with your family.
You images are ready! Whoot! Now it's time to get together virtually or online to view your images together. Grab a nice drink, maybe even a snack! At this time, you can select your images that you would like to purchase for print or digital use.
Your family photography session will take place outdoors during golden hour at an agreed-upon location within the Waterloo/Wellington Region. I have a few awesome spots I love to photograph at because the light is excellent!
After your session, we will set a time for your gallery reveal! This can be done over digitally or in person! At this appointment you will see your images, and choose your favourites to receive as digitals, in an heirloom album, or beautiful display for your walls.

• a select number of digital images
• a complimentary print credit (towards an album or wall art)

What an incredible experience. I had the privilege of having Chelsey do our maternity photos in her studio and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I was a bit nervous that I wouldn't know what to do or how to pose, but Chelsey made me feel so confident and comfortable as soon as I walked into the studio.
